Annual Awards Notice 2010

Members of the CTCSC who put an AKC Title on their dog in 2010 should send a photo of that dog to Kathleen Spelman for your annual award. Remember the photo is to be a 5” x 7” or one that can be cropped to 5” x 7”. Please DO NOT send it via email since a paper copy is required for the award. You will also need to send a copy of the AKC Certificate which shows date the title was won, the correct spelling of dog’s name and owner’s names as well.

Photo does not have to be a show photo.
Please have this to me no later than MAY 1, 2011. Any photos received after that day will be processed but may not be done in time for presentation at the Annual Meeting in June and will be given out at the following meeting.

The Cairn Terrier Club of Southern California will hold a general membership meeting on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the home of Howard and Carol Dutra.

Educational Presentation - "The Cairn Terrier"

A review and discussion of the new CTCA judges’ education presentation completed by the CTCA Judges Education Committee will be presented at the March 5 meeting.
 
Trophy Donations - All of our Exhibitors will get GORGEOUS and FUN Trophies... Thanks to You ...

Yes, it's that time of year again ... The Specialty Committee has purchased the trophies for our 3-day event which includes our specialty on Friday, our supported entry at Great Western on Saturday and the CTCA national roving specialty on Sunday. The trophies are both elegant and "clever" and related to both our breed and the theme - "Hooray for Howlywood!" A lot of work has gone into making sure all our exhibitors go home with a treasured trophy to remember this year's wonderful event. Please remember to send your trophy donations so that we can continue to offer everyone wonderful mementos... Donations are greatly appreciated; checks can be made payable to CTCSC and mailed to Karen Smith, 889 El Paisano Drive, Fallbrook, CA 92028.

Raffle Donations ... It Takes A Club and it's Membership to Make a Raffle GREAT!!!

We would like to encourage everyone to bring a couple things for the raffle to the meeting… Items can be doggie related or anything cute, something you might want in your own home ~ a game, a useful item for your kitchen/bathroom etc., a bottle or more of wine, computer software, Movie DVD's... after all remember our theme... Hooray for Howlywood!!!...Gift baskets, artwork, doggie products and toys/beds/, stationery, new wearable things...tee shirts, sweatshirts, aprons, scarves, tie tacks, pins, jewelry of any kind, wine glasses, cups, movie-related memorabilia ... goodies from your favorite merchandiser (Costco and the like), gift cards, books, CD's ... you name it ... make it nice and the more, the merrier!!! Advertising - Dena Jordan, Advertising Chair - Deadline - May 1, 2011

Dena Jordan is the Advertising Chair for this year's specialty. Ads are welcome to be electronically sent to Jack Bradshaw at mail@jbradshaw.com and also sending a copy to Dena Jordan at mavrikterriers@sbcglobal.net along with your check by the deadline of May 1, 2011. So, let's show all our national exhibitors and spectators our lovely Cairns as they walk down the "Hall of Fame" to "Hooray For Howlywood." Dena can be contacted at 951-898-9309. The price of advertising is the same as last year - $37 for a full page age; $27 for a half page ad and $9 per photo.
